Susu Dara Island is an idyllic haven of unspoilt sandy beaches and lush greenery. There are some spectacular dive sites in between Perhentian Island and Susu Dara Island. Whale sharks are also commonly sighted here. Found close to the equator, whale sharks are harmless to people and totally indifferent to divers. Kuala Besut Jetty is the jumping-off point to the island, which may take approximately between 1 hour to 1 hour and a half. |

Perhentian Island, situated 21 km. off the coast of Terengganu, consists of two islands, Big Perhentian Island and Small Perhentian Island; where fishing community live. Approximately 140 km. north of Kuala Terengganu and a few kilometers from Besut, lays Bukit Keluang a charming and secluded beach area. Its quiet coves and pristine beach is flanked by the coastal hill, which holds several explorable caves are its distinctive features that are easily reached by walkways. It is also an ideal site for swimming, snorkeling, wind surfing and family picnics.
