Klang is a peaceful, beautiful and prosperous city which is a center of economic and social activities. It is Malaysia's marine gateway to the world and is located 23 km. southwest of Kuala Lumpur.

The Royal City of 75 km. square is also one of the oldest cities in Malaysia. Historical artifacts from the iron and Bronze Age shows that this city was a settlement even 2,000 years in the past. Written references of the town have been found from artifacts of the Majapahit government.

Though Klang has experienced tremendous changes as a result of intense development, the 'soul' of Klang has remained. Plants and trees of many varieties have been introduced to the city, making it a clean garden city that is fresh, beautiful, comfortable and peaceful as a residence.

In order to accommodate the economic and social needs of the population which has reached 400,000, Klang has also been equipped with various public amenities. The city has been meticulously organized into different areas for residential, commercial and industrial activities in order to preserve the city's historical landmarks for the benefit of all.

Take the Federal Highway and drive past the Batu Tiga toll in Shah Alam and the Sungai Rasah toll and you will then see signs leading to Klang. Alternatively, you can use the KESAS Highway or the NKVE but it will cost more in terms of toll charges.

The Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Royal Gallery in Klang, touted as a landmark heritage site, was first opened to the public on 18 November 2000. Inspired by His Majesty Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah himself, the opening of the gallery to the public marked the eventual fulfillment of his Majesty`s dream. The inception of this gallery began as a personal endeavour by the royal couple to share His Majesty's collection of priceless royal heirlooms, artifacts and gifts from his subjects and foreign dignitaries.
