Sri Aman Division situated in Southern Region of Sarawak, East Malaysia, on the island of Borneo encompasses of two (2) districts namely, Sri Aman itself and Lubok Antu. It has an approximate total land area of 5,466.7 square kilometers.
This division inhibits the Batang Ai National Park and the Maludam National Park, thus ecotourism and cultural tours to Iban longhouses is an important part of the local economy.
Sri Aman is a town, and the capital of the Sri Aman District with an approximate land area of 2323.7 square kilometers, formerly known as Simanggang.
Lubok Antu which is situated at the fringe and borders Indonesia, its economic activities here is basically farming. |
