Sarikei Division situated in Southern Region of Sarawak, East Malaysia, on the island of Borneo encompasses of three (3) districts namely, Sarikei itself, Meradong and Julau. It has an approximate total land area of 4,332.4 square kilometers.

Sarikei is a town and the capital of the Sarikei District. (985 square kilometers) It is located on the Rajang River, near where the river empties into the South China Sea. The district has an approximate land area of 985 square kilometers, its economy is primarily agricultural that’s famed for pineapple and pepper.

Sarikei town is a transportation hub for traffic on both the Pan Borneo Highway and the Rajang River. The town center itself consists of a main road, Repok Road which is cut across ed by another road leading to the new development in Kampung Seberang.

Meradong is a town and the capital of a district of the same name has an approximate land area of 719 square kilometers making it the smallest district of Sarawak.

 

Julau is a town, and the capital of the Julau District. This district is approximately 1,703.4 square kilometers in land area also serves as an administrative center of a sub-district, Pakan District which covers a land area of 925 square kilometers.
