Mukah Division situated in Central Region of Sarawak, East Malaysia, on the island of Borneo encompasses of four (4) districts namely, Mukah itself, Dalat, Matu and Daro. It has an approximate total land area of 6,997.6 square kilometers.

Mukah a coastal town which has an approximate land area of 2,536 square kilometers serves as the administrative center of the Mukah District is also the district’s capital. Located adjacent to the South China Sea, Mukah is an ancient trading and fishing port, situated at the mouth of the Mukah River. Historically, the town was an outpost of the Sultanate of Brunei which in 1861 became part of Sarawak. It is now the centre of Melanau culture, and the "Pesta Kaul" festival, celebrated by the local fishermen in April to appease the spirits of the sea, is one of the major events of the Melanau calendar. Just beyond the center of town is the Lamin Dana Water Village, which contains a Melanau Cultural Center.
Dalat is one (1) of the four administrative district of Mukah Division situated by the river.
Matu, a district and small town in Mukah Division was once within Sibu Division, before Mukah Division was established.
Daro is a district and small town in Mukah Division. The nearest town to Daro is Matu. Daro is under the Matu-Daro District Council which shares the same council together with Matu.
