Betong Division situated in Southern Region of Sarawak, East Malaysia, on the island of Borneo encompasses of two (2) districts namely, Betong itself and Saratok. It has an approximate total land area of 4,180.8 square kilometers.
Betong once placed under the district of Sri Aman is now an administrative district and capital under the same name. The division is famous for its longhouses ( Rumah Panjang).
Saratok is a town, and the capital of the Saratok District has an approximate land area of 1,586.9 square kilometers is located about 50 kilometers from Betong. A main annual event in Saratok is the Saratok Regatta, a boat-racing event which usually takes place during one weekend in July. |
