Pahang - Kuantan |
Kuantan is the state capital of Pahang. The largest state in Peninsular Malaysia, covering around 36,000 sq. km. is situated near Kuantan River and facing the South China Sea.
The Pahang state government shifted the administrative centre of Pahang from Kuala Lipis to Kuantan in 1976.
Despite rapid growth and development, this quaint coastal town has retained its fascinating age-old heritage. Here, warmth and friendliness remains a way of life and the people are unaffected by the change. Kuantan reveals its charm through its curious blend of architecture and street life. New buildings and complexes comfortably share their boldness with beautiful historical sites and stately homes, giving the town a timeless atmosphere.
